MIG/FLUX CORED

mig weldingMIG – Metal Inert Gas Welding Process, GMAW -( is a welding process in which an electric arc forms between a consumable wire electrode and the workpiece metal(s), which heats the workpiece metal(s), causing them to melt, and join.) Classes consist of a short welding safety discussion and process equipment orientation including assembly and set up of equipment. The remainder of the class is all hands on welding and discussion. Minimum one-hour session.

Flux Core

FCAW – (arc welding process that uses a continuously fed consumable electrode that contains flux at its core). It is also referred to as self shielded or dual shielded welding. Classes consist of a short welding safety discussion and process equipment orientation including assembly and set up of equipment. The remainder of the class is all hands on welding and discussion. Minimum one-hour session.

SMAW (Stick Welding)

STICK – Shielded Metal Arc Welding Process, SMAW – (manual arc welding process that uses a consumable electrode coated in flux to lay the weld). Classes consist of a short welding safety discussion and process equipment orientation including assembly and set up of equipment. The remainder of the class is all hands on welding and discussion. Minimum one-hour session.

 

TIG

tig weldingTIG – Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, GTAW – (arc welding process that uses a tungsten electrode to produce an arc, and shield the material of contaminates using gas, such as Argon). Classes consist of a short welding safety discussion and equipment orientation including setup of machine. The remainder of the class is hands on welding and discussion. Minimum one-hour session.

All classes are $75.00 per hour – includes materials and equipment usage. Group rates also available.
